Leah Thompson is an aspiring young actor and singer currently based in both Shreveport, Louisiana and Silverthorne, Colorado. Her recent roles feature Leah portraying lively and musical characters, Veruca Salt and Village Girl from Peter Pan Player's productions of Willy Wonka and Jungle Book, respectively, and Jasmine from Lake Dillon Theatre Co's production of Aladdin.
Leah was a finalist in the Artbreak Idol competition held in spring 2010 at the Shreveport Convention Center. Participants of Artbreak Idol are required to sing from different genres of music before a panel of judges from various musical backgrounds. Part of Your World and God Bless The USA were two songs Leah performed for Artbreak Idol. Once the finalists were announced they immediately had to begin choreography for a dance number from Hairspray.
During the 2010 baseball season the Shreveport Captains baseball team invited Leah to sing the National Anthem to open the game, and sing God Bless America at the bottom of the 7th inning.

In December 2010 Leah Thompson starred in a short film written by Roy Houston and directed by Phillip Jordan Brooks. The film is called "Nobody But Her" and is about an 8-year old girl and her grandmother. "Nobody But Her" has a growing number of "LIKES" on Facebook and will be premiering in film festivals across the USA beginning in spring 2011. Leah is currently working with Peter Pan Players, based in Shreveport Louisiana, where she portrays the Orphan Annie in the musical, Annie. Show dates are Jan 14-16 and 21-23, 2011.
